An Act making appropriations for the
payment of navy pensions for the year ending 30th June, 1845.
Be
it enacted in the Senate and House of Representatives of the
To pay invalid pensions, forty
thousand dollars;
To pay widows' pensions, under the act
of thirtieth June, eighteen hundred and thirty‑four, six thousand
dollars;
To pay widow's and orphan's pension,
under the act of third March, eighteen hundred and thirty‑seven, sixteen
thousand dollars;
For payment of invalid pensioners,
heretofore paid from the privateer pension fund, their several pensions to
commence from the time they were stopped in consequence of the exhaustion of
said fund, eighteen thousand dollars;
For payment of pensions to the widows
and orphans of those persons who were lost in the United States schooner Sea
Gull and in the United States schooner Grampus, agreeably to the provisions of
an act passed at the present session, entitled "An act for the relief of
the widows and orphans of the officers, seamen, and marines, of the United
States schooner Grampus," ten thousand dollars.
